Turmoil and anxiety fill the air,
Wrapping the soldiers who are bracing themselves.
All these American men, will battle along side me,
For the Independence of Texas.
Will I survive to tell tale?
Or die trying?
I can hear the horses’ faint gallops.
And those strange Spanish battle cries of the Mexicans.
Viva Santa Anna.
It must be to remind what they fight for.
Let’s hope I survive to write of the epic victory.
Or epic downfall.
Either way, I must fight for the 28th state.
