With cold, dark, arms and legs that wrap so tight
Around you slimy slithering darkness and you will go down
Where the light never shines
And the big one swims
Among the tangled webs
Of lies that aren’t true and truths that aren’t lies
Black weed that grows twice as large as the sun
And the light never shines
Grope, you have no power
Claw, you have no strength
Grasp, there is no higher
Exhausted, you fall farther down
And strength trickles away as you let go and let the thing bring you to where you
Always belonged
On the bottom
In the weeds alone
Tangled, exhausted, done
