Pantoum after Refugee Trilogy

Scary and dangerous, moving from one place to another.
Just to escape poverty
we move together as a pack,
deconstruction of construction.

Just to escape poverty
belief systems break down,
destruction of construction,
a trilogy of chaos.

Belief systems break down,
the vessel unknowing the wealth of its passengers,
a trilogy of chaos.
Should we stand as one?

The vessel unknowing of the wealth of its passengers
be strong for one another.
Should we stand as one?
Life is designed to wear you down.

Be strong for one another,
we move together as a pack,
life is designed to wear you down,
scary and dangerous, moving from one place to another.

Author Bio:
Kathryn is an adjunct professor at a few local colleges and universities, and she is pushing aside time to write again after a short hiatus. She includes creativity in all of her assignments to push students writing to another level. By participating in an invitational conference supported by The National Writing Project, Kathryn has explored new genres and has been awakened by the creative spirit. Poetry has always been her passion, but she has written a few children's stories, which are still in the revision stages. This stage of revision is a place where many poems and stories are confined, but she hopes to break them out of this purgatory in the near future. She holds a B.A. in English and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, with an emphasis in poetry. In her spare time, she appreciates cooking, baking, spoiling her four cats, and volunteering at the local soup kitchen. Her most recent project is a collection of poems, which embody the many voices of all in need who visit the soup kitchen.
