Mirrored Rooms and Camouflage Yachts~ By HeartFlo

Mirrored rooms and camouflage yachts
Jaded dreams to strip club lots
Memories hide behind a life so unorthodox
Dimmed lights and smoked filled rooms
Glass ceilings and sweet perfumes
Fake smiles and high heel shoes
A dollar and a dream, a life she didn't choose

Sex sells, so go sell more
That midnight money, keeping score
A beautiful face, her life erased, deception embraced
Quick money buys a fake smile
Walking the boulevard another mile
Greed fantasizes and money hypnotizes
Beauty compromises, befriending vanity
In backrooms cocaine lies and dreams die
Thoughts reminisce how butterflies fly

Sex culture amplifies and young girls trained to epitomize
Because fantasy hides, scars which are alive
Their cries you never hear
Their stuffed in pillow cases and deception erase, any hope
Why’s are never answered so fear remains a cancer,
and life spirals down the kaleidoscope

Deception welcomes hurting hearts, like mirrored rooms and camouflaged yachts
Painted skies on a cloudy equinox, all to blur the lines that seem so renaissance
Lines have crossed and paths are lost, looking for life’s answers among the frost

The deep frozen tundra and bitter winds pass, searching for solidarity through midnight mass
Vanity lies, she wears a morbid disguise. Searching for the tree of life, among the flies
Pardon the mess and focus on her lips, she feeds you distilled vinegar from painted on finger tips
A life conceived from a generation deceived, tricked to believe
Your body will achieve you, the lifestyle you cling to, just to pay the rent

But the cycle never quits and money is always split, so here you go again
Hitting your heels to the pavement
Backrooms and painted on smiles, friendly gestures and misguided worth whiles
Survival colonized from hearts desensitized and movies portray mind control glorified
Merchandised lives and recycled lullabies, a cycle of deception meant to paralyze

Mirrored rooms and camouflage yachts, like jaded dreams to strip club lots
Dimmed lights and smoked filled rooms
Glass ceilings and sweet perfumes
Fake smiles and high heel shoes, a dollar and a dream, a life consumed

A truly beautiful poem. Gave me goose bumps while reading it. I can visualize everything.
