Broad smiles,
Does she know?
Pretty face,
Sharp teeth,
Has she felt it?
I sink and sink
Into jet black ice
Freezing. I shake
and shake until
my vision spins.
She is not me
Yet I can hear
Her screams.
Did he hurt her, too?
Does she wake up gasping for breath,
Feeling the sweat
Roll down her body
Onto the floor
Poisoning her every step?
Does she feel
His breath on her neck?
Does she convince herself
This is love! This is love!
Or does she wait -
Nails filed,
And with those sharp teeth?
Does he shrink from her
Because now he realizes she
Is me?
