a knitted lavender cap
hugs her ears
her mind
snug as a box of
sweetened cranberries
She floats wings in the white drift
her arms sweep up
then down
warm now
dark eyes glowing
like sweet candles
She sings a hymn to the heavenly snow
angel arms resting now
on the pillow
her pink lips
offer a kiss
to the sugared winter
